Some installations fail during the setup of the dependencies. You can try to manually install them before running again the setup: Microsoft SQL Server OLE DB Driver 18.5 www.ipposnif.com/download/msoledbsql_18.5.0.0_x64.msiMicrosoft SQL Server LocalDB 2016 www.ipposnif.com/download/SqlLocalDB.msiMicrosoft .NET Framework (needed only for Windows 7) www.ipposnif.com/download/NDP451-KB2858728-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exeIn other cases, the setup fails after the installation is completed, during the first run of the program. One possible error thrown is: In these cases, the solution is to switch to a different version of SQL Server, like the Microsoft® SQL Server® 2016 Express, that you can download from here. After you have installed SQL Server Express, before starting Ipposnif, edit the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Ipposnif\ipposnif.iniChange the data source from: to where myServerAddress is the name of your PC. Save ipposnif.ini and run again Ipposnif.

I had an initial problem with the 'whoami' setting in the ini file. It used 'computername'\'username'. My laptop is on a domain, it should have been 'domain'\'username'.
If I run 'whoami' in command prompt it comes back correctly too.

Thank you for pointing out this, I will fix in the next release. I'm glad you have solved it on your own.
