I'm hoping someone may be able to help me out here, this has been killing me for days.
I have developed a strategy based on historical Betfair data that relies on restricting place bets to certain market types. Mainly, I am looking to exclude markets based on both the type of race (2yo, Hcap etc..) and the distance (<2000m).
From what I have been able to determine, this information is only contained with the @market_name of the "Win Market", not the "Place Market". So if I use an SQL string like '@market_name NOT LIKE '%Hcap%', I don't end up with those markets excluded.
Is anyone able to shed some light on how I might be able to exclude certain race types in the Place markets?

Hi, you can get the distance (in meters) of the race with: using the function that returns properties of the race: www.ipposnif.com/help/ipposnif20.chm/html_10_functions.htm#dbo.fn_RacePropertyUnfortunately, BF doesn't provide a proper categorization of the races, so you have to rely on the variable @market_name. The structure of this name is not always regular: distance{space}category{space}type So, you can use the LIKE operator: Or you can extract a section of the name and use it as trigger condition: If you want to show the result of the assertion above using Expression Watcher: I hope this helps
