Hi,
I would like help with automating the following system:
System 1 – System builder Lay 3rd 10.0 >
1. I run a system on separate software to create a list of potential lay bet selection qualifiers.
2. I download into Excel format and it has a column for date/time; one for course and one for the horse name. It lists potential qualifiers across potential races. So for instance the 2:10 at Doncaster may be a qualifying race and it may be a 12 runner race but could only have 6 possible qualfying selections in that race,
3. I need the bot to automate a lay bet on my behalf for each meeting so long as:
a) The horse selected is one of the names on the list;
b) The horse is 3rd fave at the off (or just before if needs be)
c) There is at least 2 ticks between 2nd and 3rd fave
d) There is at least 2 ticks between 3rd face and 4th fave
e) The horse selected is odds of 10.0 or less
f) The liability is 4% of bank (rachet mode – i.e liabilities can go up relative to a bank increase but they never go down)
Could someone assist please?
Many thanks,
Nathan

Hi, the problem with interfacing with an external system, like for example an Excel sheet, is that the names of racecourses/runners not necessarily match with the Betfair names, and in some cases, they don't. So it is needed a linking table with both the names. This is expensive because this table must be kept updated, and the code is more complex to develop. Instead, assuming that the names are matching and we don't care about a small difference, it is quite easy to read an XLS from the database and use its content from a strategy. Please provide an example XLS and I will create the function to read its content and use the information from the strategies. Is the XLS provided by a third-party service, or you can freely create how you wish?
